GCSE

Also called General Certificate of Secondary Education, Grades 9 to 1

The main qualification at the end of year 11, graded 9 to 1 rather than A* to G.

Geometric reasoning

Proving an angle or a property using stated rules. The marks are for the reasons, not the number.

Gifted and talented

Provision for pupils working well beyond age expectations. Also a SEND question.

Also called Assess, plan, do, review, APDR

The four-step cycle schools must use for SEN support. It is a cycle, not a form.
