What it is
Solving an equation means isolating the unknown by doing the same operation to both sides.
Where it applies
Both tiers, and it underlies most of algebra.
How it works
Equations with the unknown on both sides need collecting first. Equations with fractions are usually easiest multiplied through by the denominator.
How to use it in your work
